2012 Spring Synchro Skills Programs

We strongly encourage all team members preliminary through intermediate to attend a minimum of one session per week. Skaters will be grouped by skill level, and will work together on the elements listed below.
Note: Parents of young skaters may choose to participate in a 1 hour clinic. Parents please choose appropriate clinic time based on your skater’s age, ability, and stamina.
Wednesdays, May 2nd to June 20th for 8 weeks at The N.E. Sports Center in Marlborough
- 6:00-8:00pm Preliminary through Intermediate$200.00 (walk on $30 per session)
- 6:00-7:00pm clinic available to young skaters, $100.00 (walk on $15 per session)
Saturdays, May 5th to June 23rd (no clinic May 26th) for 7 weeks at The Skating Club of Boston
- 5:00-7:00pm Preliminary through Intermediate$175.00 (walk on $30 per session)
- 5:00-6:00pm clinic available to young skaters, $87.50 (walk on $15 per session)
Training will include but is not limited to:
- Power Stroking-Edgework-Lunges
- Spirals with a focus on extension
- Forward and backward stroking with a focus on power and extension
- Forward and backward crossovers with a focus on power
- Power Stroking-Ina Bauers-Spread Eagles-Edgework-Brackets-Mohawks-Power Edge Pulls
- Forward and Backward Counters with a focus on edge quality and power
- Twizzles with a focus on turn execution and flow
- Spiral sequence with a focus on extensions and edge quality
- Rocker-Choctaw Sequences focusing on edge quality, extension and power

Tryouts for the 2012-2013 Season are now complete. Please contact us at ExcelSynchro@gmail.com for a personal evaluation if you were unable to attend our tryouts, and are interested in joining a team. Please indicate current test levels, previous synchronized skating experience, and location preferences in your message. For the 2012-2013 Season, Team Excel/Excel Crystals will offer teams at several levels:
Beginner
Preliminary
Pre Juvenile
Juvenile
Intermediate
Senior
Collegiate
